Delta Systems' consortium expands backbone network for education
The exponentially growing data transfer needs between educational institutions and data centres have led to the development of Delta Systems, a subsidiary of Delta Technologies Plc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Technologies, Inc. The HUF 637.8 million contract will see new backbone nodes connected to national school networks equipped with DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, in order to meet the data transmission needs of the institutions without the need to expand existing fibre optic cables or lease new ones.
Delta Systems, a subsidiary of Delta Technologies Nyrt. a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Technologies, Inc. The implementation tasks related to the procurement of transmission network equipment and accessories, as well as the provision of related services, can start after the equipment has been delivered, and the consortium has 120 days to complete the entire project. Under the contract, the core part of the development will be the deployment of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical wavelength division multiplexing technology to meet the ever-increasing bandwidth requirements between data centres in educational institutions and to support increased network data security and redundancy.
